The Rust SDK opens, verifies, reads, writes, merges and compares file format 6 packs, and passes all 111 conformance cases of corpus version 1.
File format 6 is specified in revision 6.0 of the Specification.

The conformance corpus, version 1, holds 111 test cases. The Rust SDK's run, recorded 2026-10-02, printed:

From the published specification and case descriptions, a developer can:
- Check any pack with standard tools: read its header line and recompute its digest. Check a pack with standard tools
- Write a reader or a writer for packs that have no appendix and no records of kinds 8 to 18. The member lists of kinds 8 to 18 are specified separately, and sections 7.2 to 7.4 are not part of this publication; the Rust SDK reads and writes both. Specification
